Server Owner: How to Refund a Monetize Subscriber (Stripe)

This article will teach you how to refund a payment from your subscriber.

1. Get to your customer's subscription from the Stripe Dashboard

2. Select "Cancel Subscription"

3. Select to Cancel "Immediately"

You will now have extra options for refunds > Open the Refund dropdown menu > Select the type of Refund.

Types of Refunds:

Last Payment: This will allow you to refund the latest subscription payment in full. Great if they have subscribed by mistake or did not like or receive the perks in the past week.

Pro-rated Amount: This will be refunded by the time remaining. A great option if it has been past a week and they have been using the tier perks for some time, but would like their money back. If their subscription term is one month and you initiate a prorated refund amount with 15 days remaining, it will give them half the money in return.

Note: Giving a refund this way will also cancel their subscription — their subscription will not renew unless they make another payment.

Advanced Tip: We suggest you also enable "send refund receipt".

They will lose any subscription tier perks you provided with MEE6.

Refund Times

It may take a few business days for the money to reach the customer's bank account, and it typically takes 5-10 business days for funds to settle.
