If you have a custom bot (Bot Personalizer), do the following with its individual role, not MEE6's role.
Discord restricts users and bots from managing roles or kicking/banning other users who are above them in the role list. In such cases, you see this or a similar error:
To solve it, follow the steps below.
Desktop:
Right-click on your server > Server Settings > Roles.
Find the MEE6 (or your custom bot) role and make sure it has at least the Manage Roles permission or the Administrator permission.
Move the MEE6 (or your custom bot) role above the role it's supposed to manage and save changes:
Mobile App:
Tap and hold on the server, or press 3 dots next to the server name > Settings > scroll down to Roles
Find the MEE6 (or your custom bot) role and make sure it has at least the Manage Roles permission or the Administrator permission.
Press Reorder to change the order of the roles.
Move the MEE6 (or your custom bot) role above the role it's supposed to manage:
If you have a custom bot (Bot Personalizer), it has its own, separate role that should be above other roles.
Additionally, make sure that it has Administrator or at least Manage Roles permission enabled.
